Breaking capacity is one of the important indicators that reflect the fuse's ability to ensure circuit safety and the safety of other parts in the circuit.
The parameter unit of breaking capacity is ampere, which means that the fuse can safely break the maximum current of the circuit. That is to say, as long as the overcurrent in the circuit does not exceed the breaking capacity of the fuse, the fuse can safely cut off the current without any unsafe phenomenon; On the contrary, although the fuse can cut off the circuit current, it may not guarantee absolute safety, so the breaking capacity is not an optional indicator.
In order to ensure the safety of the fuse, when selecting the fuse, we need to consider not only the necessary performance parameters such as current capacity, fusing characteristics, impulse resistance and aging speed, impedance and power consumption, temperature reduction, but also the safety indicators such as breaking capacity, rated voltage and safety certification.
As for small tubular fuse, fuse with the same shape and size can be divided into low breaking fuse and high breaking fuse. At present, the Dismann brand fuse, small tubular ceramic fuse series 5 * 20mm series, has a sectioning capacity of up to 2000A and a minimum of 300A; 6 * 25mm ceramic tube fuse with sectioning capacity up to 2500A; 6 * 32mm ceramic tube series fuse, with sectioning capacity up to 10000A; 10 * 38mm ceramic tube fuse with sectioning capacity up to 33KA.
