What is the HRC fuses？

        The full name of HRC fuse is High Rapturing Capacity, which is similar to the ordinary fuse. It has the characteristics of very short tripping time under high voltage current. It is made of materials with high heat resistance, such as ceramics. Its end is made of metal cap with flexible silver wire, and its interior is generally filled with quartz sand.

Generally three types of HRC fuses:

1. NH type HRC fuse:

        NH fuses provide overload and short circuit protection for low and medium voltage. They provide backup protection for motor starters and other equipment against short circuits and overloads. They are light in weight and compact in size.

2. Din type HRC fuse:

        The Din type fuse can be used for various current ratings. DIN type fuses have different characteristics under different temperature conditions and can be used for different purposes. DIN type fuses can be used for different voltage levels. They have a variety of voltages to choose from and can be used for transformer protection. They have ideal low overcurrent clearing capability and short circuit performance. Other uses and applications of DIN type fuses are air and gas insulated switchgear, mining, transformers and feeder sections.

3. Blade type HRC fuse:

        This type of fuse is also known as spade fuse or plug-in fuse. The plastic housing and two metal covers are used in the appearance and structure to install in the socket. In most cases, it is used in automobiles as a backup protection to prevent wiring and motor short circuit. Blade type fuses have different sizes and shapes, have different rated current capacities, and are light in weight.
